NUREMBERG. Teldat GmbH has launched its new bintec W2002T-n wireless access point for railway applications with immediate availability, putting the company on a track for growth in the mobile railway solutions segment.
The bintec W2002T-n has been specially developed to provide wireless network access to railway passengers and employees while fulfilling the stringent requirements set forth in the EN50155-T3 railway standard. This rugged access point provides M12 ports suitable for railway use, withstands vibration, and operates over an extended temperature range from -25 °C to +70 °C.
Railway operators can also combine the bintec W2002T-n with Teldat's H1 Rail 4G/3G router to provide passengers and employees with broadband internet access. In addition to enabling communications onboard the train, the bintec W2002T-n can also establish secure wireless links between individual railcars.
