The bintec RS series - now with up to 30 VPN tunnels

The bintec RS series — secure connectivity for mobile devices

NUREMBERG. bintec elmeg GmbH continues to enhance the performance of all the VPN routers in its RS series. Effective immediately, the bintec RS123 / 123w / 353a / 353aw / 353j / 353jv / 353jw / 353jwv and 353jv-4G bintec routers can be upgraded to provide additional VPN tunnels.

In addition to the five concurrent hardware-accelerated IPSec tunnels already included with each device, bintec RS series routers can now be upgraded via a license to provide as many as 30 concurrent VPN tunnels.
Increasingly popular mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops use virtual private networks to establish secure connections to company networks, protecting sensitive company data from third-party attacks. The bintec VPN solution is compatible with all the major smartphone operating systems. With the optional 25-VPN-tunnel license, these bintec routers represent a secure investment that can scale to meet business requirements. If an organization needs more than five concurrent VPNs, it can now purchase the upgrade license and use up to 30 VPN tunnels simultaneously.

Maximum flexibility - VDSL power - WLAN Controller - HotSpot

The bintec RS series enables high-speed connectivity across the network and adapts seamlessly to any application with desktop and 19-inch rackmount models. These high-performance routers support the latest technologies such as VDSL2 for high transmission rates and ship - depending on the model - with an included VDSL license. All models deliver flawless security with no backdoors and provide protection against third-party attacks.

Thanks to the integrated WLAN Controller software, these bintec RS-series routers can without additional hardware centrally configure, monitor and manage up to 12 access points upon activation of the corresponding licenses. The routers' HotSpot Gateway is ideal for use with the WLAN Controller and a bintec HotSpot license, allowing operators to set up wireless guest networks with authentication.

More security for businesses...

The number of mobile devices such as smart phones, tablets, and laptops continues to grow. Users expect to be able to access the company network with these devices as well (BYOD). To ensure sensitive company data is protected from third-party attacks, these devices require secure connectivity with the company network. One way to accomplish this is by using virtual private networks (VPNs).

...with VPN tunnel upgrades

All bintec RS series devices ship with an included license for five concurrent hardware-accelerated IPSec tunnels.

Starting in January 2015, the routers can be upgraded via a license to operate up to 30 concurrent VPN tunnels. The powerful bintec router solution is now scaleable to meet your business needs, providing the right number of concurrent VPNs and protecting your existing investment. If an organization needs more than five concurrent VPNs, it can now purchase the upgrade license and use up to 30 VPN tunnels simultaneously. The bintec VPN solution is compatible with all the major smartphone operating systems.
